Our Company History

Desks Galore dates back to 2006, but our family's involvement in the furniture business began in 1917 with a secondhand furniture store in downtown San Antonio. In 1951, the store changed into National Furniture and we expanded into our seven locations.  National Furniture became the largest family owned furniture business in San Antonio and gained the attention of local investors.  Although the family sold National Furniture in 2006, we have recently reacquired the business and Desks Galore and National Furniture, combined, remain the largest family-owned furniture business in San Antonio.  

 

Store Owner

David C. is the current owner of our company. He is the great-grandson of the owner of the original furniture business from 1917. His grandparents founded National Furniture in 1951, and he joined National Furniture in 1985. After 20 years in home furniture, he started Desks Galore in 2006, and the business has been going strong ever since.
